six weeks, new knee

New knee meeting old life has turned old life into repeat. We now live in groundhog day.

Wake up. Wake up a lot. But last wake up, if it’s near 5am, also includes dog wake up. So.

Wake up. Ice. Elevate. Read the headlines. Drink some coffee, put some food in the stomach for the pills.

Take the pills. Wait for them to kick in.

Do the exercises. 1 hour and 10 minutes of the exercises. The dogs just go along with it all. They chew the legs off their toys and watch me carefully, every second.

Ice. Elevate. Read the headlines. Or some easy to follow book, like a teen mystery involving a psychic on the elephant reserve with a PI who has a heart of gold. Nothing makes sense in it, which is actually beneficial if your brain is in brain fog due to pills and surgery and god knows what else. Probably comes from living in ground hog day.

Go to work. That might be teaching agility or dealing with the horses.

Take the pills. ice. elevate. do the exercises. this just keeps going until it’s the end of the day and you try to sleep but you wake up.

And so on. Welcome, new knee!
